Beelitzer Heilstätten

The Beelitzer Heilstätten were sanatoriums for people with lung diseases in the early 20th century. Nowadays the buildings are completely run down and its interior is destroyed by vandalism. I got the chance to visit one part of the quite big complex last month. It was a haunting experience walking through the empty corridors.

I definitely want to see the other parts of this abandoned complex before it loses that spooky touch. Word of mouth has it that this is only possible until December this year as the sanatorium is undergoing construction works at the moment. I hope they do it right and restore its former glory!
